About the role The Grout Guy is seeking a hands-on Salesforce Platform Lead to own and evolve our Salesforce environment, with a strong focus on Field Service operations . Salesforce is mission-critical to how we manage leads, dispatch technicians, track jobs, report performance, and deliver customer outcomes across multiple regions in Australia. This role reports directly to the CTO and works alongside an internal Salesforce Developer. and external third party agencies. You will be accountable for platform architecture, governance, optimisation, and execution. This is not a passive oversight role. You will be on the tools, building, refactoring, reviewing, and setting standards. Full-time position based in Landsdale, WA, with hybrid flexibility available. What you'll be doing Own the end-to-end Salesforce platform (Service Cloud Field Service) Design and govern the data model, automation strategy, and integration patterns Lead Field Service configuration (work types, territories, scheduling policies, mobile config, optimisation rules) Define standards for Flow vs Apex and review technical implementation Partner with ops/management/techs to translate real-world workflows into scalable system design Manage sandbox strategy, release discipline, and deployment governance Reduce technical debt and improve platform performance Support and mentor internal Salesforce resources Evaluate and implement new features aligned to business objectives What we're looking for 3 years Salesforce experience in a senior admin / platform lead / consulting capacity Strong Field Service Lightning (FSL) configuration experience in a live operational environment Advanced Flow capability (record-triggered, screen flows, orchestration) Working knowledge of Apex (ability to read, review, and guide development decisions) Strong data model design capability Experience managing releases and environments Comfortable working directly with operational teams (dispatch, field technicians) Ability to balance execution with long-term architecture thinking Highly regarded: Experience in construction, trade services, or field-based operations Experience cleaning up or refactoring legacy Salesforce implementations Integration experience (APIs, middleware, external systems) What this role is not Not a ticket-only admin role Not a pure developer role Not a corporate strategy-only manager This is a platform ownership role in a real-world operational business.
