Management Consultant / Project Manager - Insurance Transformation Location: Sydney CBD (Hybrid) Contract: 6 Months (Likely Extension) Daily Rate: $700 Super Start: Immediate A major global insurer is undertaking an enterprise-wide transformation to unify systems, processes, architecture, and products as part of a broader global unification program. To support this, we are seeking a Management Consultant with blended Project Management capability to lead a strategically critical Partner Distribution Transformation workstream. This role is ideal for someone who combines consulting-style structured thinking with light-touch PM discipline, capable of driving clarity, alignment, and direction in a complex and ambiguous environment. This is not a traditional delivery PM role. You will shape strategy, define future-state models, and guide the workstream into build readiness. The Opportunity Joining at a pivotal moment as the program transitions from Discovery into initial sprints, you will work across both project leadership and strategic design. Your remit focusses on how partner-distributed insurance products will operate within a unified enterprise environment. You will bring structure to ambiguity, ensure cross-functional alignment, and position the workstream for the next stage of transformation. What You'll Be Doing Leading a major partner transformation workstream through Discovery. Applying consulting-style analysis with project management structure to achieve clarity and outcomes Sequencing, organising, and governing workstream activities Translating strategic intent into clear, actionable future-state deliverables Coordinating with business, technology, architecture, compliance, and external partner stakeholders Supporting decision-making through structured problem-solving and well-defined frameworks About You Given the strategic nature of the work, this role is best suited to someone with a management consulting, strategy, or hybrid Consultant/PM background. It may not suit a traditional PM focused solely on delivery-based outputs.
