About the Role Step into a pivotal role at the centre of Rabobank’s executive leadership. As the Business Manager to the CEO, you will partner closely with the CEO and Executive Team to shape, drive, and embed the Australia & New Zealand Group strategy. Operating as a trusted advisor and strategic integrator, you will bring structure, clarity and momentum to enterprise priorities, ensuring decisions are well informed, aligned and effectively executed. In this role, you will manage the end‑to‑end executive and Board cadence—crafting high‑quality CEO briefings, shaping Board‑ready papers, guiding the annual strategy and planning cycle, and coordinating cross‑functional inputs that influence the direction of the organisation. You will play a critical part in elevating CEO effectiveness through analytical insight, concise storytelling, disciplined follow‑through, and proactive stakeholder engagement. With visibility across all business lines and direct access to senior leadership forums, this role offers a unique opportunity to influence strategic outcomes, enhance organisational alignment, and support the CEO in leading Rabobank’s long‑term ambitions across Australia and New Zealand. Role Accountabilities Market & Customer Focus Maintain deep insight into Rabobank’s clients, markets, competitors, and industry trends, translating them into strategic advice for the CEO and Executive Team. Connect customer needs to enterprise priorities and ensure decisions remain client‑centric. Anticipate external developments and advise on their strategic implications. Promote a culture that prioritises client value and long-term relationships. Synergy & Partnership Build strong, trusted relationships across the Executive Team, senior leaders, global partners, and functions. Enable cross-functional collaboration and information flow, especially for CEO-sponsored work. Mediate differing perspectives to drive aligned, cohesive decisions. Read organisational dynamics and act as a connector and feedback channel between CEO and teams. Vision & Strategy Support clear, enterprise-wide strategy aligned to Rabobank’s purpose and long-term objectives. Convert strategy into structured plans, milestones, KPIs, and decision-ready narratives. Ensure Executive Team forums and rhythms stay aligned to strategic priorities. Communicate complex strategy in simple, clear language for diverse audiences. Change & Innovation Foster innovation, continuous improvement, and new ways of working. Provide clarity, structure, and momentum to transformation initiatives. Assess emerging trends and advise on their strategic relevance. Simplify complexity, reduce ambiguity, and guide leaders toward executable pathways. Communication Communicate clearly and persuasively across written, verbal, and visual formats. Synthesise complex input into concise executive and Board-ready messages. Listen actively to understand perspectives before advising. Navigate sensitive conversations confidently and constructively. Influencing Demonstrate executive presence and influence without authority. Present recommendations that clarify trade-offs and support sound decisions. Use diplomacy and assertiveness to navigate differing viewpoints and build alignment. Create consensus by identifying shared goals and framing options effectively.
