Westpac Commercial Banking supports Australian industry through a network of professional bankers, specialists and support teams, and we’re committed to offering deep industry expertise to our commercial customers. To achieve this, we have a dedicated Industry Specialisation team comprising of expert bankers across critical sectors, and we’re looking for someone great to manage our Education portfolio. Our Relationship Directors manage and develop a portfolio of large business connections with lending and focus on winning new-to-bank customers. You’ll play a critical role in driving growth and sourcing new clients through your own and bank-developed marketing initiatives and by maintaining a quality referral network. You’ll ensure our existing customer’s needs are met and give them a great experience. It’s a high touch role that gives you the chance to work with different specialists across the bank. Internally you’ll take the lead in coaching and mentoring your team and externally, you’ll have a high profile and strong market presence. What do I need? Proven experience managing senior relationships within the Education sector, Strong background in relationship‑led business development. Experience delivering tailored financial or professional solutions to Education clients. Demonstrated ability to lead complex internal stakeholder coordination, working across product, credit, risk and service teams to deliver outcomes for large, sophisticated institutional clients. Track record of managing risk, credit and compliance requirements for sizeable and often publicly accountable organisations, while maintaining strong, long‑term client trust. Why join us?
