Health Care Worker Classification: IN37/IN38 depending on experience Salary: $28.8473/$31.65 Part Time About the role: The position is responsible for assisting residents to maintain their independence wherever possible and to provide daily care taking into consideration the individual care plan and the individual preferences of residents. In conjunction with nursing staff contribute to the assessment and care planning, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes. On a day-to-day basis, the duties undertaken are assisting residents with activities of daily living e.g. showering, dressing, administration of medication from webster packs. Supervising mealtimes and providing assistance to residents as required such as making a cup of tea, cooking toast and taking meal to resident’s room if unable to come to the communal dining area, changing bed linen, ensuring resident areas are tidy, washing residents’ clothes. PDHS comprises of 4 acute beds, 29 nursing home beds (consisting of high and low care) and 10 Independent Living Units (6 in Dunkeld & 4 in Penshurst) and consulting rooms for visiting services.
