Description Come join Koorana in this rewarding part time role as an Early Childhood Educator (Diploma) where you will be working in collaboration with the Supported Playgroup Team in running supported playgroups in indoor and outdoor venues across the Bankstown and Canterbury Local Government Areas. Early Childhood Educators work in collaboration to plan and provide supported playgroups with age-appropriate play activities that promote early learning, support parents and carers in their parenting role and assist families to establish supportive social connections. They also assist families to make links with a wide range of community supports, including formal prior to school settings such as day care and preschool. This position is for three days per week: Mondays, Wednesdays & and Fridays working 8.45am to 1.45pm during school terms. Candidates are required to have: · Diploma qualifications in Early Childhood Education. · Experience with the Microsoft Suite e.g. word, excel etc · Experience working with children and parents and carers in their parenting role. · Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritise, plan ahead, anticipate risks and problem solve. · Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse community. · Current driver’s license. · Current Working with Children Check, National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screen Check. · Prior TEI experience is highly desirable.
