Contract to December 2026 Extension Opportunity | Adelaide CBD Hybrid Flexibility Your new company A major organisation in South Australia is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Test Specialist to join its cyber program and support the delivery of critical uplift, remediation, and assurance initiatives. This role sits within a dedicated test services function and plays a key part in strengthening enterprise-wide security resilience.This is an exciting opportunity for a cyber testing professional who thrives in complex environments, enjoys working across multiple projects, and is passionate about delivering high-quality security assurance outcomes. Your new role Reporting into the Test Services function and working closely with project managers, cyber teams, and technical stakeholders, you will coordinate and execute a broad range of security testing activities. You will be responsible for ensuring cyber controls are implemented correctly, validated effectively, and documented to support audit, risk, and governance requirements. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and deliver cyber security testing across remediation, assurance, detection, and platform rollout projects. Develop and execute security test plans, test cases, validation activities, and regression testing. Validate the effectiveness of remediation and hardening activities, including vulnerabilities, configuration security, and control uplift. Support assurance testing such as penetration testing coordination, compliance testing, and control-effectiveness validation. Test monitoring and detection controls such as SIEM use cases, authentication flows, and SOC alerting. Perform testing for platform rollouts to ensure solutions are securely configured and integrated. Produce high-quality evidence-based artefacts including test results, findings, risk assessments, and audit-ready documentation. Contribute to cyber risk registers, assurance reports, and executive-level updates. Collaborate with delivery teams, cyber specialists, vendors, and governance stakeholders. Ensure alignment to testing standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks. What you'll need to succeed Skills & Capabilities Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and cyber control frameworks. Demonstrated capability in security validation, configuration testing, vulnerability testing, and control-effectiveness checks. Knowledge across key enterprise cyber domains: Identity & Access Management Endpoint and server security Cloud, network, and application security SIEM/SOC operations and threat detection Ability to translate security requirements into practical, repeatable test scenarios. Strong analytical capability and the ability to prioritise based on risk and impact. Well-developed communication and stakeholder-engagement skills. Experience producing documentation suitable for audit and governance. Ability to work across multiple concurrent streams and adapt to shifting priorities. Experience Required Demonstrated experience in cyber security testing, security assurance, or technology testing. Experience within large, complex enterprise IT project environments. Hands-on experience supporting or validating remediation initiatives, platform implementations, and compliance activities. Familiarity with structured testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and cyber assurance frameworks. Experience with testing management tools such as JIRA and Zephyr, including test creation, execution, defect tracking, traceability, and reporting dashboards.
