Applications for this role are being managed by Ezgi Erdogan‑Frost , Randstad Australia The Facilities Team Leader – Terminal is responsible for leading the terminal facilities maintenance team to ensure the safe, reliable and customer‑focused operation of Adelaide Airport’s terminal facilities. The role oversees the delivery of reactive, scheduled and planned maintenance activities, provides day‑to‑day leadership to internal staff and contractors, and ensures compliance with relevant safety, environmental and regulatory standards. Working closely with the Facilities Maintenance team and key stakeholders, the position plays a critical role in maintaining terminal infrastructure and passenger‑facing facilities, supporting continuous operations, and fostering a strong safety‑first, service‑driven culture aligned with AAL values. Operational Leadership : Coordinate the maintenance activities to ensure terminal facilities, infrastructure, and building services operate seamlessly and meet ISO55001 standards. Team Leadership : Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring, and task allocation to maintenance staff, embedding a safety-first and customer-focused culture. Compliance & Safety : Uphold WHS, environmental responsibility, and company policies while promoting AAL values across the team. Facilities Oversight : Guarantee continuous operation of airport plant, infrastructure, and passenger-facing facilities to support tenants, customers, and staff. Stakeholder Engagement : Communicate effectively with tenants, contractors, and stakeholders to minimise operational impacts and maintain strong relationships. Contractor & Budget Management : Manage contractors and internal staff to deliver planned and reactive maintenance safely, efficiently, and within budget. Emergency Response : Participate in airport emergency response and ensure readiness for unscheduled or after-hours maintenance requirements. Strategic Planning : Support the Head of Facilities and Maintenance Manager in developing annual budgets, operational plans, and capital expenditure priorities. Customer Service Excellence : Embed customer service principles in all facilities operations, ensuring a positive passenger and tenant experience. Qualifications Essential Trade Qualification and/or demonstrated Equivalent Experience in maintaining and supporting Operations of a domestic/International Terminal Facility Certificate IV in Frontline Management or demonstrated Equivalent Experience Experience in planning and executing facilities maintenance activities reactive, planned or scheduled Ability to write and review JSEA’s and SWMS’s generated by AAL or contractors Ability to review and authorise works permits applicable to trade background and knowledge of AAL Hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence Ability to obtain all applicable licences as listed in ‘Desirable Qualifications’ Desirable Work Zone Traffic Management MR Truck Licence EWP Licence HRW Licence Forklift Operations Certificate Experience Essential Experience in a broad range of civil, electrical, buildings, construction or building services works or demonstrated Equivalent Experience Supervisory experience in an operational environment Experienced leader with demonstrated skills able to support and develop team members Ability to prepare reports and briefing papers Knowledge and experience of implementation of maintenance procedures Understanding of budgetary principles and cost control experience to manage and deliver OPEX and CAPEX budgets Ability to use MS Office suite Knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
