YOUR NEW ROLE In this KEY PIVOTAL role, reporting to being mentored by a high profile Principal (an outstanding ‘holistic’ personal injury lawyer) with a junior lawyer reporting to you, you will enjoy the challenge satisfaction of doing justice for your plaintiff clients focusing on CTP/motor vehicle accidents plus WorkCover claims (mostly litigated). You will be actively managing your own files from A to Z (with back-up mentorship as required) including: initial client consults, assessing advising on viability/quantum/liability of the claim, preparing legal/court documents, liaising with medical professionals/insurers/solicitors/3rd-parties, briefing barristers/medio-legal experts, attending court hearings/settlement mediation conferences. WHO YOU ARE We are interested in hearing from you if you: Are an admitted lawyer ; Have minimum 3 years' experience (preferably more up to senior associate level) in personal injury law (preferably plaintiff, open to defendant) including BOTH CTP/motor vehicle accidents and WorkCover/Workers Compensation highly autonomously managing your own files from start to finish (essential);; Have had solid litigation experience and a working knowledge of UCPR (Uniform Civil Procedure Rules)-essential; Are a proactive SELF-STARTER, thrive in a busy fast-paced role and can handle pressure and meet deadlines; Have strong analytical and legal drafting communication skills; Are a strong team player, love practising personal injury law helping your clients; Are ambitious and committed to your career success with an outstanding personal injury firm that is committed to investing in you….long-term!
