The Gig Ready to step in as a trusted Project Manager on high-impact projects? We’re looking for an experienced, detail-driven Project Manager who loves solving problems and driving outcomes. With headquarters in in Sydney, this newly created role reports directly to the Managing Director and offers the chance to lead a range of road infrastructure, subdivision, and civil land development projects. Working out of the Northwest HQ, you’ll lead projects from concept to completion overseeing planning, design, and delivery while managing budgets, subcontractors, and resources. You’ll ply your trade in balancing technical input with client engagement, acting as the trusted link between design, delivery, and stakeholders, particularly across TfNSW and council-led approvals environments. Project leadership is at the core, managing risks, approvals, and client updates to ensure works are safe, on time, and to standard. Your clear, commercial decisions drive project success. You’ll be trusted with: Delivering feasibility studies and project documentation Leading end-to-end management of road infrastructure, subdivision, and land-development projects Coordinating design, approvals, and delivery across consultants and contractors Managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance to achieve targets Building strong relationships with clients, TfNSW representatives , councils, consultants, and stakeholders Reviewing and challenging project designs, scopes, and construction methodologies for constructability and compliance Proactively monitoring risks and implementing clear mitigation strategies Driving a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility Preparing progress reports, variations, and accurate project documentation Professionally representing the consultancy at meetings and presentations Supporting growth initiatives and mentoring junior engineers and project staff What’s in your toolbox? Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar 5 years’ project management experience in road infrastructure, subdivisions, or broader civil works Strong technical and commercial skills with a delivery focus Proven track record liaising with clients, councils, and consultants Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills Current driver’s licence and White Card Exposure to TfNSW specifications, standards, and approval pathways would be a great asset You’re the kind of person who sees both detail and the big picture, and can communicate with clarity .
