Full job description Custom Air Automotive Air Conditioning is an established business with 30 years experience specialising in Design, Manufacture, Supply & Installation of Custom, Air Conditioning systems & Customised Sleeper Cabin Fit outs. We have several divisions that make up our company which cover Design, Metal Fabrication, Assembly, Painting, Air Conditioning Installation & Upholstery. Due to the continued growth of our company, we currently have an opportunity for a Motivated & Suitably Experienced – Automotive Mechanic to join the team with any of the below preferred qualifications and attributes. This role requires a self-motivated, responsible person with excellent trade qualities & Communication skills who is able to work unsupervised and as a part of a team, reporting direct to the General Manager. This person will as required be completing Auto Electrical & Air Conditioning Installations on Heavy Vehicles, Custom kit Installations to Cabin Interiors & supporting the Production / Assembly team as required. This person will where / when required be completing some Mechanical works. To be successful, the applicant will possess: Previous Experience in a similar role or competitor preferred. Experience as a qualified tradesman Excellent Mechanical knowledge & ability Heavy Vehicle Experience preferred. Arc tick certified, an advantage. Inspecting workmanship on completion Auto Electrical and Auto Air conditioning experience an advantage. Be clean & well presented. Display strong problem solving and decision-making skills. Be highly motivated and willing to learn and advance yourself. Own Hand tools an advantage Experience with Air operated tooling Ability to work Un-supervised This person will need to have a current Australian Car Drivers Licence. Truck licence is an advantage.
