Job details About the Client Our client operates in one of the worlds largest integrated bauxite mining and export operations in Far North Queensland, producing and shipping high-quality ore while supporting regional communities and long-term resource supply About the Role The Mechanical Construction Lead will coordinate and supervise mechanical construction works across site, ensuring all activities meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule expectations. The position plays a key role in overseeing contractors, managing scope delivery, supporting risk and commissioning processes, and ensuring seamless integration with site operations and governance frameworks. Key Responsibilities Lead and promote a strong safetyfirst culture across all site activities Oversee mechanical installation, modification, and commissioning works Validate mechanical scopes and manage approved scope changes Ensure compliance with permit, isolation, and QA/QC processes Monitor schedule progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions Support project controls including TQs and field notices Facilitate constructability reviews and prestart readiness assessments Assist with commissioning and final handover activities Skills and Experience Required Mechanical trade qualification or engineering background (preferred) Experience with conveyors, crushers, rotating equipment, and fixed plant Minimum 5 years mechanical construction or sitebased experience Demonstrated leadership in construction environments Strong understanding of mechanical QA/QC and safety systems Valid manual drivers licence How to Apply: Click on the Apply button to submit your application or for more information please contact: WorkPac Principal Consultant: Kayla Royal on(070 4979 8631or Kayla.Royal@workpac.com quoting the below reference number.
