Permanent full-time role Competitive salary and job security Onsite car parking Trainer & Assessor - Renewable Energy We are seeking an experienced Trainer & Assessor - Renewable Energy to deliver hands-on, practical training only within the renewable energy sector. This role is ideal for a trade-qualified professional who enjoys working on the tools, mentoring students, and delivering high-quality, face-to-face training aligned with VET and ASQA standards . Working closely with the General Manager and RTO leadership, you will play a key role in student engagement, practical skills development, compliance, and continuous improvement of training programs. Key Responsibilities Practical Training Delivery Deliver face-to-face, practical-based training in renewable energy units Conduct on-site and workshop-based practical assessments Grade student work in line with AQF and RTO requirements Support students to achieve competency through hands-on instruction Coordinate practical training schedules and student attendance Maintain high levels of student engagement and completion Course Development & Compliance Assist in the development and continuous improvement of practical training programs Ensure all delivery meets ASQA, VET, and RTO compliance standards Assist with audit preparation and compliance documentation Maintain industry currency, back-to-work experience, and records Maintain, test, and enhance electrical and renewable energy training equipment Operational & Commercial Support Support student enrolments and training coordination Assist marketing and recruitment activities to attract students Liaise with manufacturers to support technical training and practical equipment Assist with grant research and funding opportunities where required Workplace Health & Safety Promote and lead safe work practices at all times Ensure compliance with WHS policies, procedures, and legislation Identify hazards, implement control measures, and complete reporting Leadership & Collaboration Work collaboratively with RTO management, training staff, and leadership Support and mentor other trainers when required Communicate professionally with students, staff, and industry stakeholders Key Relationships Internal: Directors, General Manager, Training and RTO staff External: Students, manufacturers, governing bodies, industry personnel Essential Qualifications & Licences Current Australian Electrical Licence Valid Queensland Driver's Licence UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (or equivalent) TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent meeting current standards) Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accreditation in: Grid-connected PV Design & Install (on-grid & off-grid) Battery Storage Design & Install Standalone Power System Design & Install Required units of competency for renewable energy training delivery, including: UEERE0054, UEERE0061, UEERE0081, UEERE0080 UEERE0055, UEERE0063, UEERE0079 UEERE0060, UEERE0078, UEERE0077 Desirable HLTAID011 Apply First Aid (or higher) Low Voltage Rescue Additional renewable energy or industry-related qualifications Skills & Experience Proven experience in the solar or renewable energy industry Strong hands-on technical capability and practical teaching skills Experience delivering practical RTO training highly regarded Excellent communication and student engagement skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Calm, flexible, and solutions-focused approach Consultant Kirsty Jennings Senior Consult -NW Professional -QLD kjennings@nationalworkforce.com.au Reference number: 200617242 Profession:EngineeringEngineering Company: NW Professional Services- Professional Date posted: 10th Feb, 2026
