This is a newly created role driven by significant business growth, offering the opportunity to step into a brand-new portfolio and truly make it your own from day one. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted HR partner to seven newly established Place offices across Southeast Queensland, building strong relationships with leaders and employees as those offices grow and embed their people practices. You’ll provide hands-on, day-to-day HR support and play a key role in setting up smooth, simple and consistent HR processes. Working within a shared-services model, you’ll be the go-to point of contact for your allocated offices, partnering with leaders, supporting employees, and delivering practical HR advice with confidence, professionalism and care. This is a full-time position based at our beautiful James Street Head Office. What you’ll be doing Coordinate recruitment processes end-to-end: job briefs, advertising, interviewing support, feedback, offers, and documentation. Support onboarding activities including welcome sessions, startup steps, system setup, and first-week check-ins. Assist with offboarding, letters, exit interviews, and system updates. Provide HR advice across awards, contracts, policies, and procedures, including supporting employee relations matters such as performance management, conduct issues, grievances, and disciplinary processes. Assist with industrial relations matters, including interpretation and application of awards, pay reviews, role changes, and support during workplace investigations or formal ER processes. Support WHS processes, compliance requirements, and employee records. Assist with people projects, policy updates, culture initiatives, and business-wide communication. Maintain HR documents, forms, and trackers, and support continuous improvement across the portfolio. You’ll use platforms like Employment Hero, SharePoint, MS Office, and Zendesk to get things done, and you’ll learn even more along the way. What we’re looking for Tertiary qualification in HR or related discipline (or currently completing). 3 years experience in a HR role, with hands-on ER/IR experience and the confidence to manage day-to-day employee relations matters. Solid understanding of HR processes, legislation, and award interpretation. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly. Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. A team player who thrives in a supportive, fun, and fast-paced environment.
