The Opportunity – Help build places people love to live Join Stockland’s in-house Design Studio and help shape innovative, sustainable homes and communities across our Land Lease Communities (LLC) portfolio. Based at our Sydney Head Office in a permanent, full-time role, you will work in a multi-disciplinary design team that partners closely with development and project teams to deliver high quality, customer-focused built form outcomes. This role is based in Sydney Head Office , with team days in the office on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday , and includes interstate travel every couple of months for project and design reviews. We're Looking For a Design Lead who will champion design excellence across Stockland’s Land Lease Communities built form portfolio , ensuring our homes and community facilities are well-designed, scalable, sustainable and commercially sound. You will bring architectural expertise, strong stakeholder skills and a collaborative mindset to guide and influence design outcomes nationally. What You’ll Do You will: Support national design direction for Land Lease Communities projects. Provide specialist input through design reviews and workshops. Assess design risk, constructability, compliance and value opportunities, including during interstate visits. Help evolve design guidelines, benchmarks and tools to improve consistency and quality. Contribute to early concept design and acquisitions work. About You You are an experienced architectural design leader who enjoys working at both a strategic and project level. You are comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments, translating customer and community needs into practical design solutions, and helping others understand the value of good design. Ability to manage multiple projects with strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of planning frameworks, construction, sustainability strategies and design software including Revit.
