We’re looking for a Retail Project Officer to support the planning and delivery of retail store technology initiatives across a large national environment. This role plays a key part in coordinating technology deployments for new store openings, refurbishments, device refreshes and store closures, ensuring smooth execution from planning through to post-deployment support. This position will suit candidates with experience in managing or assistant managing roles in retail stores. Having strong administrative and coordination skills, alongside knowledge of common store technology and commercial understanding, will help you fit straight into the retail domain this project will be operating in. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, technology teams and stakeholders to ensure hardware, systems and services are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard. What you’ll be doing Coordinating retail store technology deployments, refurbishments and closures Supporting the rollout of hardware including POS, registers, printers, networks and digital systems Tracking project schedules, costs, risks and dependencies Liaising with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth delivery Supporting change, incident and service management activities Maintaining accurate project, asset and deployment documentation Assisting with post-deployment issue resolution and continuous improvement Role requirements 2 years’ experience in project coordination or project support Experience providing administrative support for IT hardware, retail store technology or infrastructure deployments Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills Experience working in agile or highly collaborative environments Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced setting Exposure to retail environments highly desirable Experience with Windows 10, Office/O365, POS or similar systems Strong organisational, problem-solving and documentation skills Apply now or email tony@grittalent.com for a confidential discussion.
