The Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated full-time Carpenter to join our team. This role involves formwork, door and window installation, ceiling and deck installation, and general structural carpentry. The duties are as follows, but not limited to: Crafting, shaping, and installing wooden structures and furniture according to blueprints and plans; Constructing building frameworks and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards, and verifying structural accuracy; Cutting, fitting, and installing walls, floors, windows, doorframes, ceilings, decks, and cladding; Assembling prepared wood and fittings ready for installation; Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding; Utilizing rigging and hardware to install building structures and frameworks; Inspecting damaged structures and fixtures and ensuring appropriate replacement; Carrying out site inspections, identifying issues, and completing on-site maintenance; Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation; Managing stock levels and ordering materials to ensure project completion; Inputting structural and carpentry information into the Procure online database for management review; Overseeing and organising site labourers and construction team members; Ensuring compliance with local building codes, WHS requirements, and safety regulations; Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and ensuring the quality of materials; Collaborating effectively with team members or work independently when required What we are looking for At least a Certificate III in carpentry is preferable, or a Diploma in management. At least 1 year of strong carpentry and joinery knowledge with hands-on experience Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Experience operating tools, machinery, and construction equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team What we offer Full-time employment with a minimum of 40 hours per week Opportunities for overtime as required Competitive salary of $80,000 Superannuation Supportive team environment with long-term career opportunities All applications will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
