Next Gen Talent Business Name - Spiced Tea Chai Pty Ltd Position – Technician (2 Positions) Salary – 77K to 80K per annum plus super Role – Full Time Address – 28a Powers Rd, Seven Hills NSW 2147 Summary of Role The role supports the business by maintaining and repairing premix packaging machines and Equipments, repairs and maintenance of hot liquid dispensing units used for food-grade beverage product manufacturing. The technician is responsible for mechanical servicing, breakdown recovery, electrical diagnostics and calibration ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production operations. Minimum Requirements: AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma with at least 1 year of experience. Primary Duties & Responsibilities 1. Technical Maintenance & Preventive Servicing Conduct preventive and scheduled maintenance on hot dispensing units including boiler descale, pump inspection, valve flushing and gasket replacement. Service packaging machinery: lubrication, roller alignment, bearing replacement, heater coil inspection, and screw feeding hopper maintenance. Implement maintenance protocols that reduce downtime and extend machinery asset life. 3. Mechanical & DC PCV Maintenance (24 Volts) Diagnose faults in heating circuits, thermistors, solenoids, DC pumps, control boards and dispensing nozzles. Repair leakage, inconsistent temperature output, slow flow rate, blocked brewing channels and pressure imbalances. Rectify packaging machine faults such as hopper flow interruptions, sealing defects, belt misalignment, dosing inaccuracies and PLC faults. 4. Quality Control & System Output Monitoring Ensure hot liquid dispensing units maintain accurate brew temperature, flow velocity, dosage volume and heat retention. Monitor packaging output — pouch weight, seal strength, material integrity, and product consistency. Conduct quality test runs, record calibration values and verify food safety compliance. 5. Spare Parts, Tools & Technical Inventory Control Maintain inventory of machine spares including pumps, heaters, seals, O-rings, belts, bearings, sensors and printed circuit components. Track usage of maintenance materials and schedule procurement to avoid production delays. Ensure all replacements meet manufacturer specifications. 6. Installation, Setup & Calibration Install hot liquid dispensing systems including electrical, pneumatic and heating assemblies. Calibrate temperature controls, brewhouse thermostats, flow meters, dosing valves and sealing components. Configure control panels, test heating cycles and verify operational performance before production runs. 7. Reporting, Logs & Compliance Documentation Record breakdown diagnostics, completed repairs, replaced components and calibration adjustments. Maintain maintenance history files, service cycle schedules, and downtime reports. Ensure all operational work complies with WHS, food processing hygiene and electrical safety standards. 8. Technical Training & Improvement Support Train operators on safe machinery handling, preventive flush cycles, and emergency shutdown procedures. Recommend upgrades for heating efficiency, brew stability, sealing strength and production throughput. Assist in process improvement planning for increased reliability and output consistency.
