About the role: The Senior Media Advisor is tasked with crafting and implementing comprehensive communication strategies to bolster the visibility and effectiveness of the Minister and NSW Government's announcements, events, and initiatives across various channels. T his role requires proactively identifying and managing media matters while collaborating with policy and media teams for engagement . Key responsibilities include preparing media statements, alerts, strategies, and releases efficiently and effectively. The Senior Media A dvisor ensures the Minister maintains a clear, dynamic, and engaging media presence, working closely with the Chief of Staff and Advisors to foster motivated media interaction and address media inquiries as they arise. About you: Media Expertise : Proven ability to respond to media enquiries, identify strategic opportunities, and navigate the media landscape as a self-starter. Autonomy and Resilience: Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision. Strategic Analysis: Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated capacity to comprehend complex issues, think strategically, and adapt to changing circumstances. Social Media Management: Experience in successfully creating and executing compelling content tailored to various social media platforms. Professional Writing: Exceptional writing skills with the ability to develop diverse content, including media releases, Q&As, talking points, speeches, and social media content.
