Due to rapid growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Head of Audit to join their CBD office. This is a great opportunity to take on a leadership role, manage the audit portfolio, and mentor a high-performing team in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. About the Role: As the Head of Audit, you will play a key role in leading a team of 5 experienced Auditors, and managing audit engagements from planning to completion. You’ll work closely with clients, partners, and your team to ensure high-quality service delivery while also coaching and developing junior staff. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing and managing end-to-end audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio Leading and mentoring a team of auditors, providing guidance and technical expertise Reviewing audit work papers and ensuring compliance with Australian auditing standards Building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing insights and value-added services Identifying and addressing technical accounting and audit issues Supporting business development and contributing to the firm’s growth About You: A strong track record of external audit experience in an Australian accounting firm CA/CPA qualified or equivalent Current or eligible RCA (desirable) Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Auditing Standards Experience in managing a team Excellent client relationship skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities What’s in it for you?
