Lending Analyst Heartland Bank Australia is growing, and we are on the lookout for two permanent Lending Analysts to join our Reverse Mortgages team based in Melbourne, Australia. This is a great opportunity for an experienced lending or credit professional who is customer‑focused, detail‑oriented and passionate about doing the right thing. About the Role As a Lending Analyst, you will credit assess and manage a pipeline of reverse mortgage applications from application through to approval and loan documentation. Depending on the team, your role may be more customer‑facing or non‑customer‑facing, with responsibilities tailored accordingly. You will play a critical role in ensuring strong customer outcomes while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage and assess reverse mortgage applications from valuation to approval Load applications accurately into the core lending system, including due diligence and valuations Conduct compliance calls with borrowers to confirm loan structure, purpose and suitability Review assessments and provide sign‑off Approve lending requests within delegated lending authority (with escalation where required) Generate and manage loan and variation documentation through to execution Liaise with internal teams, brokers, partners and customers Ensure compliance with NCCP, Privacy Act, and internal policies Deliver outstanding customer service while achieving activity and compliance targets Experience & Qualifications 3 years’ experience in banking, lending, credit, compliance, loan administration or a related field Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Banking, Law or similar (preferred) Strong knowledge of mortgage, security and credit principles Experience in lending or credit and a strong customer‑first mindset.
