The key duties of the position include The Role International Engagement is an integrated core function and key tool for the Australian Government to achieve its overall strategic objectives. CASG has a critical and far reaching role in engaging other countries, through a range of capability cooperation agreements and Deputy Secretary CASG's position as the National Armaments Director. The role provides support to Ministers and the Delivery Group Senior Leadership (CASG, NSSG and GWEO) as the strategic hub for engagement and international policy matters as they relate to acquisition and sustainment. The importance of international collaboration and engagement, including as a contributor to capability delivery, is growing. This is an exciting, fast paced position that requires the successful applicant to support the coordination of key international dialogues for Defence. Engagement with senior managers and foreign Government officials will be undertaken, and the applicant will need to be comfortable and resourceful in this environment. About our Team The Industry Engagement Division supports Defence delivery on the Government's policy direction, namely the National Defence Strategy and the Defence Industry Development Strategy, to equip and sustain the ADF. Industry Engagement Division develops and delivers initiatives that are designed to develop a stronger sovereign industrial base while making Defence a stronger client. The CASG International Engagement Directorate within Industry Engagement Division supports effective and efficient capability delivery in collaboration with Australia's International acquisition and sustainment partners.
