About the role This position plays a pivotal role in shaping and advancing our firm's BIM strategy across projects, platforms, and people. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated BIM Coordinator to drive the standardisation of our BIM processes and ensure alignment with our broader Global Digital Strategy. This role involves close collaboration with regional leaders, global team members, internal and external stakeholders, and project teams to champion best practices and support consistent, high-quality delivery across the practice. Report directly to the APAC Head of Digital, partnering closely with the APAC BIM Manager and regional BIM Managers to ensure strategic alignment Collaborate with global and regional leaders to deliver the global digital delivery vision and strategy across the region Support the planning and execution of BIM across projects, ensuring all BIM-related contractual deliverables are met to a high standard Work with the APAC BIM Manager to shape and refine the global digital delivery strategy, ensuring regional relevance and effectiveness Drive regional communication and training initiatives to support the successful adoption of global digital solutions Facilitate BIM coordination with internal teams, clients and stakeholders on projects Lead the oversight of key BIM platforms, tools, and processes to drive efficiency and collaboration across the region Partner with the APAC BIM Manager to support BIM and digital components of bids and tenders, strengthening our competitive positioning Ensure BIM processes are clearly documented, structured, maintained, and accessible to all Populous APAC staff What are we looking for? To successfully fulfill the role, several core capabilities are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate: Proficiency in Revit, including modelling, documentation, data management, quality assurance, and model exchanges Proficiency in BIM and Digital Execution Planning, including stakeholder alignment Understanding of international standards such as ISO 19650 (all parts) Proficiency in Rhino, visual coding, information technology, and clash coordination is highly regarded A keen interest in continuous improvement across processes, technology, services and research The ability to rigorously measure and evaluate improvements Flexibility to adapt to evolving processes and systems as technology advances within the AEC industry Excellent people management, engagement, and communication skills A willingness to promote a positive team environment and a collaborative approach to problem solving What success looks like in this position at Populous BIM standards and processes are consistently implemented across APAC projects, with measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and coordination Project teams are confident in adopting global digital tools and workflows, supported by clear guidance and effective regional training BIM-related contractual deliverables are met reliably and to a high standard, strengthening client confidence and project outcomes Regional priorities are effectively aligned with the Global Digital Strategy, ensuring both consistency and local relevance A culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement is embedded across the APAC region
