THE ROLE The Project Officer will join a collaborative and innovative team focused on delivering the Government's agenda of increasing access to social and affordable housing for Victorians. This is a varied and practical role that supports the acquisition and delivery of residential projects with stakeholders in a partnership approach. This will require a dynamic, flexible candidate with demonstrated experience in the residential property market and property transactions, and experience in residential construction highly desirable. The role will contribute to complex projects throughout the acquisition, development and delivery phases by undertaking a variety of tasks to support the delivery of a high volume of projects, ranging from single standalone dwellings to whole low-rise apartment buildings. This role involves attending site inspections to assist with assessing site condition, work progression and compliance with contract obligations including adherence to plans and specifications as required. Periodic travel across Victoria is an expectation of this role and this may include overnight travel depending on the location and project requirements. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Support the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including project development and delivery, monitoring and evaluation. Support residential development acquisitions and property transactions from identification through to delivery by undertaking tasks, tracking progress and assisting with navigating transactions through analysis and approvals. * Prepare project specific reports analysing the suitability of the development and design against departmental requirements and compliance with current construction codes and regulatory requirements.
