About The Opportunities Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking two passionate and highly organised Event Specialists to join our Arts, Tourism Venues and Events Branch. These roles offer the chance to help deliver exceptional experiences for our community, businesses and visitors, whether that’s coordinating major Council events or facilitating seamless corporate functions at the Bundaberg Multiplex. Event Specialist In this role, you’ll plan, deliver and execute a diverse portfolio of Council-led events across the region. From festivals to community celebrations, you’ll coordinate logistics, engage contractors and stakeholders, and ensure every event reflects Council’s commitment to safety, quality and community connection. About You To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria: Experienced in planning and managing major events, festivals or shows (3–5 years). Skilled in stakeholder engagement, negotiation and contractor coordination. Capable of managing budgets, timelines and multiple priorities in dynamic environments. Strong problem‑solving abilities and able to work autonomously. Tertiary qualifications in event management, business, hospitality or similar. You’ll support clients from enquiry through delivery, ensuring professional, polished and high-quality experiences that enhance the venue’s profile and strengthen stakeholder relationships. About You To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria: Demonstrated experience in event management, hospitality or business administration. Strong customer service focus with confidence liaising with corporate clients. Knowledge of venue procedures, safety regulations and event compliance. Skilled in scheduling, operational planning and using industry-standard software. Able to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays.
