We’re looking for a Manager, Subsidiary Reporting to join the Financial Services team within the Finance Division. This role is responsible for overseeing the preparation of statutory financial accounts for Westpac Group domestic subsidiaries and supporting strong financial control across the Group. You’ll work with a large, integrated onshore and offshore team to deliver accurate, timely statutory and regulatory reporting. Alongside business‑as‑usual reporting, you’ll also support strategic initiatives that improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance how financial information is communicated to stakeholders. A unique aspect of this role is exposure to finance operations at scale, combined with people leadership across a distributed workforce. This is a permanent fulltime Sydney‑based role with flexible working arrangements (3 days in office). What do I need? This role suits an experienced professional with a strong audit and financial accounting background, solid technical accounting skills, and a well‑developed sense of financial control. If you’re ready to make an impact, here’s what will help you succeed: Extensive experience in Group‑level statutory and regulatory financial reporting, ideally within banking or financial services, with working knowledge of APRA and other regulatory requirements. Deep expertise in Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) controls, enabling safe and compliant delivery within the requirements of the Act. Strong analytical capability with large data sets using Microsoft Excel; experience with Power Apps is advantageous, alongside the ability to distil complex financial information into clear stakeholder insights. Proven ability to partner effectively with finance, risk, audit and legal stakeholders, leveraging shared knowledge and data‑driven insights to deliver tangible value A highly collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to continuous improvement. Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent). Why join us?
