About the Role This role is responsible for delivering high-quality talent acquisition outcomes across senior and specialist portfolios within a large and complex public sector environment. Working closely with hiring leaders, the Senior Talent Specialist provides trusted advice and hands-on recruitment support, ensuring hiring decisions are timely, merit-based, and aligned with workforce priorities. The position plays a critical role in shaping recruitment strategies, improving candidate experience, and strengthening talent pipelines to support both current and future workforce needs. It offers exposure to high-volume and business-critical recruitment initiatives while operating with a high level of autonomy and accountability. Position: Senior Talent Specialist – $650/day super Location: Sydney CBD Working Arrangement: Hybrid 2–3 days WFH Start Date: ASAP Duration: 12 months with possible extension Application Window: 3 days Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end recruitment activities across professional and senior-level roles, from initial briefing through to offer and onboarding Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, develop recruitment strategies, and provide guidance throughout the selection process Deliver market insights and workforce intelligence to support informed hiring decisions and attraction strategies Design and execute effective sourcing approaches using job boards, direct sourcing, talent pooling, and referral channels Ensure recruitment processes comply with public sector legislation, policy frameworks, and merit-based selection principles Support and coach hiring managers on assessment techniques, interview methodologies, and capability-based selection Monitor recruitment activity, analyse performance metrics, and prepare reports to support continuous improvement Contribute to initiatives that improve candidate experience, diversity outcomes, and recruitment efficiency Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers Identify emerging recruitment risks and develop proactive solutions to meet workforce demand About You Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end recruitment in a complex or high-volume environment, ideally within government or large organisations Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, advise, and manage competing priorities Sound understanding of merit-based recruitment, governance, and compliance requirements Experience using applicant tracking systems and contemporary recruitment technologies Ability to interpret workforce data and market trends to inform recruitment strategies Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail Resilient, adaptable, and confident working in fast-paced and politically sensitive environments Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline are desirable Relevant recruitment or HR certifications will be highly regarded Full working rights in Australia – Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid long-term working visa (sponsorship unavailable) Applicants are kindly asked to upload their documents at www.charterdiligence.com.au/portal Application Process Important: Due to the high volume of applications and the limited submission timeframe, we may not be able to contact all applicants.
