About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Payroll Professional to join a growing health care provider in Brisbane’s inner-city suburbs. Due to growth and new branches, this organisation is seeking a skilled payroll professional to manage the payroll function, support transactional payroll officers with BAU activities, and lead a major HRIS implementation project. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys providing strategic oversight, ensuring accuracy, and supporting payroll and HR teams through system transformations and complex award and legislative interpretation. Key Responsibilities: Lead payroll governance, oversight, and accuracy checks while supporting day-to-day payroll processing Take a significant lead in the HRIS system implementation project Conduct payroll data reviews, audits, trial runs, and UAT testing Ensure robust controls and compliance with Fair Work, SCHADS, Community Services Awards, and other relevant legislation Provide guidance on employment agreements, leave, WorkCover, and other HR/payroll matters Manage internal payroll and HR issues, supporting employment-related conversations Lead a small team of transactional payroll officers while working closely with internal and external stakeholders throughout projects About You: To succeed in this role, you will bring: Extensive experience in payroll governance, compliance, and award interpretation Experience leading payroll systems projects and implementing new processes Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on checks, balances, and accuracy Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment Apply Now: If you’re ready to make an impact in a dynamic payroll environment and contribute significantly to payroll projects, please apply now!
