Job Description Position Overview: Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, the Finance Manager is responsible for working closely with the leaders to ensure financial health and compliance, drive financial strategy, and support the company’s growth objectives. This role manages staff responsible for the day-to-day recording of all financial transactions, the control over the completeness and accuracy of financial records including validation and analysis of certain key performance indicators. The role includes checking and monitoring of work and controls, preparation of tax lodgements and other statutory submissions, financial report production and further analytical work. Desired Skills and Experience Key Responsibilities: The core responsibilities of the Finance Manager includes but is not limited to: Financial Reporting Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. Prepare and present financial reports to senior leaders. Manage the preparation and submission of statutory reports. Cash Flow Management Liaise with the FP&A team in the monitoring and management of cash flow, ensuring sufficient. liquidity for operational needs. Oversee accounts payable and billing processes. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Continuous review or systems/processes and implement robust internal controls. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial consultants. Team Leadership & Development Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Conduct performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities. Ensure effective delegation of tasks and responsibilities within the team. Supervision of the reporting, recording, processing and payment of purchases, including customer invoices, sales invoices, supplier invoices, commissions, corporate credit cards. Systems & Process Improvement Implement and enhance financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Stay current with industry trends and best practices, recommending improvements where applicable. Collaborate with IT to ensure the effective integration of financial systems. Ensures compliance with ELMO’s information security privacy policies and procedures. Key Performance Indicators Timely, efficient and accurate financial reporting. Positional Qualifications, Attributes and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, in a related role. Experience with a Big 4 or in the SaaS industry is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis. Excellent knowledge of financial regulations. Advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. High level of integrity and dependability. Strategic thinker with a proactive approach.
