Part-time, permanent position Collaborative and innovative working environment Join a school committed to student and staff wellbeing The Role Leading independent girls’ school, Camberwell Girls Grammar School , presents an opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our team on a part-time basis (approx. 0.6 0 FTE) . Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all payroll related matters which includes functions such as processing payroll, developing various reports, maintaining confidential payroll records, collecting and reporting financial information used in audits, budget development and other duties as assigned . You will make an impact by: Providing a high quality, comprehensive payroll service. Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately within the payroll system. Acting as a resource for staff and management, responding to all payroll-related queries in a timely and efficient manner. Preparing and entering timesheet data for the monthly payroll, including full-time, part-time, and casual employees. Completing monthly Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Reconciling superannuation payable and submitting monthly payments, ensuring compliance with superannuation requirements and current legislation. To be successful in this role… As an experienced Payroll professional, you will be highly organised, detail-focused, and take pride in producing accurate work of a high calibre. You are courteous, calm, and professional in your approach, with the confidence to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy, including communicating on complex and sensitive matters clearly. You will have: Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar role. Technical payroll knowledge - a strong understanding of payroll processing, taxation and superannuation regulations. Knowledge of payroll legislative requirements and award interpretation. Relevant payroll qualification (desirable). Previous experience within the education sector (desirable).
