We are a highly collaborative team working in an agile and fast-paced environment underpinned by our organisational values and a service driven approach The role: 2 x roles on offer: Communications Advisor (Full Time, part time considered) and Communications and Engagement Advisor ( Temporary Part Time 0.8) . These roles will help Council effectively communicate and engage with the Whitehorse community by providing strategic advice, leading communications and engagement campaign planning, and execution of a variety of written external and internal communications plans. The role will help promote Council’s services, implement and promote behaviour change campaigns and community engagement opportunities, and create a sense of Whitehorse identity and belonging. About you: To be considered for this position you will have: Communications Advisor (Full Time, part time considered) Extensive experience developing, executing and evaluating strategic communications plans including end-to-end stakeholder management. Demonstrated experience creating and publishing content across a range of print and digital channels including social media moderation. High level of organisational and coordination skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to translate complex information into clear public-facing messaging. Communications & Engagement Advisor (Temporary Part Time 0.8) Demonstrated experience developing, executing and evaluating strategic engagement and communications plans including end-to-end stakeholder management. High level of organisational and coordination skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to translate complex information into clear public-facing messaging. Strong understanding of the IAP2 framework and best practice public consultation methodology.
