Senior Cyber Security Analyst (24/7 SOC) Cyber Security Analyst Location: Perth, WA Employment Type: Full-Time, Ongoing Roster: 24/7 Shift Rotation Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 (gross)(including super) p/a About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC). Reporting to the SOC Team Lead, this role is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to cyber security threats to protect client information systems and digital assets. This position plays a critical hands-on role in incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, and cyber risk assessment, while also providing technical guidance and escalation support to SOC analysts. Key Responsibilities As a Cyber Security Analyst, your core duties will include: Monitoring, analysing, and responding to cyber security events using SIEM and security monitoring tools Investigating security alerts, logs, and telemetry to identify malicious or suspicious activity Leading and supporting incident response activities, including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery Performing vulnerability assessments and supporting remediation activities to reduce security risk Analysing threat intelligence to identify emerging threats and improve detection and response capabilities Assessing cyber security risks and recommending mitigation strategies aligned with client environments Supporting the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of secure systems and network architectures Applying cyber security frameworks and standards such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, OWASP, and SANS Preparing clear technical reports, incident documentation, and security recommendations for clients Acting as an escalation point for complex incidents and supporting junior analysts during investigations Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders during security incidents Skills and Experience Required To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Experience Cyber Security Analyst or within a Security Operations Centre (SOC) Strong experience with security monitoring, SIEM analysis, and incident response Sound knowledge of cyber threats, attack techniques, and defensive controls Experience conducting or supporting vulnerability assessments and remediation activitie Ability to assess cyber security risks and provide practical, business-aligned security advice Strong written and verbal communication skills, including incident reporting and client-facing documentation Ability to work independently on shift and collaboratively within a 24/7 SOC environment Why Join Us?
