About the Opportunity Step into a high-impact leadership role focused on establishing and growing a strong Urban Design presence within Arcadia’s Brisbane Studio, where you will champion our design philosophy with strategic vision and commercial acumen while positioning the studio as a recognised authority in shaping Brisbane’s urban future. In this role, you will drive business growth, cultivate high-value partnerships, and lead complex, large-scale projects across landmark precincts, transport corridors, and Olympic-related developments, all within a collaborative, design-led culture. A glimpse into your day Set the vision for major urban design projects, ensuring they meet industry-leading standards and align with our core philosophy. Identify and secure new opportunities, lead major bids, and manage commercial strategies to ensure sustainable profitability. Act as a primary contact for high-value clients and lead complex engagement with government agencies and developers. Advocate for best-practice outcomes as a thought leader at industry forums, panels, and conferences. Oversee all project phases to maintain quality, innovation, and clarity of design intent from start to finish. Support senior leadership in business planning, market positioning, and developing internal initiatives to improve efficiency. The expertise you’ll bring Over 10 years of experience in Urban Design, with a proven track record of leading high-profile, complex projects. Demonstrated success in business development, fee proposal strategy, and managing project financials. Exceptional design leadership and proficiency in tools such as Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite. Outstanding presentation skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at executive and government levels. A Bachelor’s degree in Urban Design, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture; postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded. Deep knowledge of built form, urban design processes, planning frameworks, and regulatory environments. A commitment to being "all in" and "acting like custodians," fostering a resilient and high-reputation studio culture.
