This role has a strong operational focus, ensuring digital products and business applications are reliable, secure, well‑supported and continuously enhanced to meet evolving business needs. effective incident and request management, prioritisation of enhancements, and embedding practices that improve service quality, stability and user experience. As a people leader, you will build and lead a high‑performing team that responds to support requests, resolves issues efficiently, and proactively identifies opportunities to improve systems, automate processes and reduce operational risk. You will also play a key role in driving training, adoption and effective use of technology, supporting the digitisation and optimisation of business processes across the organisation. The team APRA's Technology team delivers, maintains, and enhances essential information technology services that support the organisation's productivity, strategic objectives, and business unit priorities. Technology partner with stakeholders to design, implement and maintain IT solutions that meet the needs of the organisation and ensuring these are secure and aligned with APRA's technology architecture. Key responsibilities Lead, coach and develop a multi‑disciplinary team of 10 specialists, fostering a strong service culture focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement. Own the operational run of digital products and business applications, ensuring systems are stable, secure, supported and fit for purpose. Oversee incident, problem and request management, ensuring timely resolution, clear communication and minimal disruption to business operations. Drive continuous improvement of systems and services by identifying enhancement opportunities, prioritising work, and reducing manual effort and technical debt. Ensure effective training, adoption and use of digital tools, working with stakeholders to uplift digital capability and embed new ways of working. Partner with business areas to digitise and optimise business processes, leveraging technology to improve efficiency, consistency and user experience. Manage application lifecycle activities including upgrades, patching, configuration, and vendor support arrangements. Ensure systems meet organisational security, risk and compliance requirements. Plan and manage team capacity, work priorities and operational demand to deliver reliable outcomes. Collaborate with senior stakeholders across APRA to align operational services with business priorities and technology strategy. About you Proven experience in managing and leading high-performing cross-functional teams. Demonstrable experience in the delivery of digital initiatives across multiple business domains. Deep understanding of digital product management practices and human-centred design. Experience in web platforms, cloud-based services, AI, Microsoft technologies, Oracle Cloud Fusion and integrated enterprise digital products. Ability to manage priorities, resolve complex issues and drive outcomes in an agile, business-focused, collaborative environment. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders across all divisions. Demonstrates strategic thinking, adaptability, and APRA-wide mindset, especially in navigating uncertainty and change. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
