About the Project LAND 4140 sits within CASG and is responsible for delivering iterative uplift, enhancement and security improvements to the Land C4 Capability System on behalf of Army. Capability elements include: Deployed Information Environment (DIE) Integrated Battlefield Telecommunications Network (I-BTN) Battle Management System (BMS) Tactical Communications Network (TCN) The project is currently in the Needs & Requirements Setting stage, with Gate 2 anticipated Q4 2025. Role Overview The Cyber Security Engineer (L3) will provide specialist cyber and system security engineering expertise across the capability lifecycle. The role operates with considerable independence within a complex, long-term integration program and contributes to: Strategic planning Engineering design scoping Security integration Regulatory compliance Authority to Operate (ATO) pathways This position works closely with Engineering Manager, Chief Engineer, Project Managers, CASG, Army stakeholders, and Program Integration Partners. Key Responsibilities Support Cyber Security Operations and Cyber Worthiness requirements Support Cyber Assessment and Authorisation processes to achieve ATO Develop and review Cyber Security Management Plans Conduct Security Threat Risk Assessments Conduct Business Impact Level (BIL) assessments Review DISP controls and accreditation for PIP and Delivery Panellists Provide SME input into System SOPs Oversee Program Integration Partner security activities Align governance with LC4SB PgMO Cyber Security Cell Conduct certification and accreditation activities Review contract deliverables for compliance Ensure regulatory and legislative alignment across sustainment Essential Criteria Provide specialist security advice across the full capability lifecycle Strong understanding of military and operational environments Experience in Defence capability integration environments Ability to evaluate sustainment compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks Strong stakeholder engagement capability Experience & Skills Required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong understanding of INCOSE Systems Engineering lifecycle Experience from requirements analysis through to certification Ability to work under broad direction and establish milestones Influence across stakeholders, suppliers and partners Experience undertaking complex technical work Ability to select appropriate standards, tools and methodologies Essential Qualifications 4 year Engineering Degree (relevant discipline) Highly Desirable Industry recognised ICT / Cyber certifications Zero Trust architecture knowledge Data Centric security architecture knowledge Defence Cyber Governance, Risk & Compliance experience Experience as System Architect / Security Architect / Solutions Architect
