As a result of our ongoing success, we are seeking applications for the below listed positions: Industrial Upholsters - Mackay Metal Fabricators - Kalannie / Rutherford Engineering Draftsperson - Kalannie METAL FABRICATOR : Our ideal candidate will have 3 years' experience in a similar position including: Strong welding and/or fabricating experience (light industrial; sheetmetal); workshop/factory based Cutting, pressing, bevelling, grinding, filing and associated skills Knowledgeable with MIG and stainless steel Worked with plates, pipes and other similar parts and materials Able to efficiently lay-out, position, align and secure/tac parts prior to assembly & production Proficient at interpreting and practically applying designs, drawings and specifications INDUSTRIAL UPHOLSTERER : Candidates must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role and be able to complete the following tasks: Sew heat blankets together using industrial sewing machines according to Mammoth Equipment's specifications and quality standards. Accurately measure and cut fabric pieces for assembly, ensuring precise dimensions. Perform quality checks to verify that heat blankets meet established criteria for durability, strength, and performance. Collaborate with the production team to meet manufacturing deadlines and prioritize workload to maximize efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and inventory control of sewing materials and equipment. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or fabric defects to the supervisor. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. ENGINEERING DRAFTSPERSON Main Duties / Key Responsibilities: Create detailed 2D and 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Collaborate with engineers to translate concepts and prototypes into production-ready designs. Ensure drawings conform to relevant industry and company standards. Maintain drawing records and version control through proper documentation practices. Update and revise designs to accommodate engineering changes or improve manufacturing efficiency. Liaise with the production team to resolve technical issues and optimize manufacturability. Requirements: Minimum - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Drafting, or above. Formal training or certification in CAD drafting (preferred but not essential). Minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering drafting role within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with mechanical components and systems, preferably in the heavy-duty equipment or sheet metal fabrication sector. Knowledge of engineering drawing standards (e.g., AS1100 or ISO equivalents). SolidWorks PDM experience (Highly Desirable) Background in supporting design-for-manufacture (DFM) initiatives is advantageous.
