Description We are currently seeking enthusiastic Language Assistants fluent in French and/or Chinese to join the team on a casual basis. This role is essential in supporting Carey students to strengthen their spoken and written language. The ideal candidate will be fluent in French or Chinese and have experience in supporting students in one-on-one sessions or small group setting. The role: Create a safe learning environment for students to learn and develop their written and spoken language skills Facilitate weekly or weekly sessions with Year 11 and 12 language students. Conduct conversation practice and preparation for key assessment tasks. Regular communication with language teachers regarding the learning objectives for sessions. What do I need to succeed? Fluent communication skills in either French or Chinese. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. An interest in education and working with young people. Experience with supporting in one-on-one sessions or small group setting. A passion for creativity and innovation in teaching A valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration or Working with Child Check is a requirement of this position.
