Cook – The Morrison Bar & Oyster Room The Morrison Bar & Oyster Room is a well-known and vibrant venue offering premium seafood and modern Australian cuisine in a fast-paced, high-quality service environment. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Supervise kitchen hands to ensure the professional operation of the kitchen and delivery of quality food to meet customer satisfaction Ensure kitchen equipment and stock items are set up and ready to deliver efficient daily service Maintain high food safety, hygiene and food handling standards at all times Ensure menu pricing and updates are communicated to Service Managers so POS pricing is accurate Stock, rotate and store food items appropriately Handle kitchen equipment, appliances, small wares and supplies safely and correctly Perform opening and closing kitchen procedures Organise and prepare for each shift to ensure smooth service Prepare and cook menu items in line with recipes and venue standards Follow daily operating procedures and kitchen workflows Manage food dockets/tickets and ensure timely service during busy periods Carry out ongoing cleaning and kitchen duties to maintain a safe work environment About You: Previous experience as a Cook in a busy restaurant, pub or seafood venue Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations Good communication and teamwork skills Reliable, organised and able to work under pressure Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays About You You hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent industry experience). You have previous experience working in a busy pub, hotel, or restaurant kitchen. You are passionate about food quality, consistency and presentation. You demonstrate strong communication skills and enjoy contributing to a positive team culture. You take pride in maintaining high hygiene, safety and organisational standards. You are reliable, flexible and committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests. You enjoy mentoring junior staff and contributing to menu development. Permanent full time role with a starting salary between $76K - $80K (plus super).
