About the Role Provide strategic advice and analysis to inform NSW Fair Trading’s and the NSW Government’s positions in intergovernmental forums. Conduct research and prepare evidence-based advice to inform policy discussions. Coordinate advice and briefings for Ministers and senior executives to support participation in national forums. Build strong relationships with interjurisdictional counterparts to enhance collaboration. Support governance and coordination functions for committees and working groups focused on consumer affairs. To Be Successful in This Role You Will Have Collaborative engagement - experience working collaboratively across government or in interjurisdictional settings, and excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills. Analytical thinking - strong analytical and research skills to support evidence-based policy development and development of NSW positions. Communication - proven ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively. Organisation - strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, including taking the initiative to proactively manage and deliver priorities. Team fit – collaborative, reliable, and flexible team player. Essential Criteria Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in policy, governance or intergovernmental relations. Demonstrated experience representing organisational or government priorities in policy forums. Strong research, analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Proven collaboration and stakeholder engagement experience.
