The Client Schnitz Ballarat is a well-established and popular restaurant offering made-to-order schnitzels served in a bun, in a salad or with chips. They are now seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Manager to join their team in Ballarat Central, VIC. The Role The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, leading the team, and ensuring an outstanding dining experience for our guests. This is a full-time role ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and a background in hospitality management, with an annual salary of $77,000-$78,000 plus superannuation. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day front and back-of-house operations Supervise and train staff to deliver exceptional customer service Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety standards Handle rostering, timesheets, and performance management Maintain inventory, place orders, and liaise with suppliers Monitor budgets, sales targets, and profitability Address customer feedback and resolve issues professionally Collaborate with kitchen team to maintain food quality and service standards Working with chef and kitchen staff for checking the level stock of goods, meats, veggies, and order with suppliers Requirements Bachelor degree in hospitality management At least 4 years of proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in a supervisory hospitality role Must have at least 4 years of menu planning experience including cost control and planning menu to budget Must have at least 4 years of people management and hospitality team leading experience At least 4 years' experience in supplier liaison for Italian food and beverage operations At least 4 years' experience ensuring compliance with HACCP, liquor licensing, and WHS regulations. At least 4 years' experience in financial management, sales analysis, and profit optimisation Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a busy restaurant environment Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of food safety, WHS, and hospitality compliance requirements Experience in rostering, stock control, and budgeting At least two recent work references
