What you will be doing Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Campaign Communication the Advisor, Campaign Communication plays a key role in planning, developing and delivering communications and advertising expertise for the VEC. Working closely with teams across the organisation, the role drives the strategic development of engaging campaigns for elections, VEC events and a wide range of public resources, while briefing internal and external stakeholders and coordinating complex deliverables across multiple formats and platforms. It also provides administrative and strategic input into advertising agency management, campaign reporting and budget alignment, and supports team members to achieve effective communication outcomes. As part of the Engagement and Strategic Relations Group, which oversees communication, education, engagement and customer experience, the role contributes to strategic communication and advertising for electoral events, internal communication that supports employee engagement, voter participation initiatives that build public trust, and education and outreach services. A strong emphasis is placed on reaching communities traditionally under‑represented in electoral participation, including young people, Indigenous and CALD communities, people with disability and those experiencing homelessness or incarceration. The role will be responsible for: partnering with all areas of the VEC to develop and deliver advertising and communications materials. leading end-to-end discrete projects and activities to support delivery of electoral events. leading paid social media campaigns, with a focus on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). leading and delivering end-to -end statutory advertising, overseeing all stages from brief to production. What you will bring to the role Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high-quality advertising campaigns High-level verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced business environment Experience developing and delivering effective advertising and marketing campaigns end to end, involving multiple channels, platforms and tactics. Demonstrated experience coordinating complex procurement processes and financial tasks including invoicing, reconciliation, and forecasting. Highly experienced in statutory advertising in a regulatory environment. Commitment to the VEC's core values.
