Welder / Boilermaker Wanted - 4-Day Work Week Marsden Depot | Logan City Council We're on the lookout for a qualified Welder/Boilermaker to jump into a long-term leave position, with a strong chance of going full-time for the right person. If you love hands-on fabrication, working on heavy gear, and don't mind stepping up into a leadership role now and then - this one's for you. What's on Offer $50 per hour 12% super 4-day work week - Tuesday to Friday ⏰ 6:45am - 4:45pm Stable council work with varied projects What You'll Be Doing: Repairs and maintenance on heavy vehicles and equipment Fabrication work across multiple council projects Reading and working from fabrication drawings Supervising apprentices when required Occasionally stepping into a Leading Hand role on site jobs Providing trade guidance and on-the-job training to apprentices and school-based trainees Following all health, safety, and quality procedures ✅ What We're Looking For: Qualified Welder / Boilermake r Strong skills in : Fabrication MIG welding Reading fabrication drawings Comfortable leading a small team when needed Safety-focused with a solid work ethic Safety & Performance Expectations- You'll be expected to: Complete work safely and on time Identify and prevent hazards Follow safe work practices and procedures Use correct PPE at all times Keep your work area clean and organised Attend required training (e.g. Working at Heights, Confined Space) Comply with all relevant legislation and council procedures The Fine Print (But Make It Fun) Before you jump in, here's what you'll need in your toolbox: - A current Open Class licence - because getting to work matters - HR or HC licence?
