Natural Areas Team Member Get paid to work outdoors and protect the bush Marsden Depot Mon-Fri | 6:30am-3:35pm $39/hr super The Gig If sitting at a desk isn't your thing and you'd rather be out in the bush making a real difference, this one's for you. As a Natural Areas Team Member , you'll be hands-on maintaining Council's natural reserves - restoring bushland, managing fire risks and helping protect native plants and wildlife. Every day's different, the work matters, and you'll finish early enough to actually enjoy your afternoons What You'll Be Doing Restoring and maintaining bushland and natural areas Jumping in on fire management, prescribed burns and emergency response Providing Level 1 firefighting support (when qualified) Working safely and looking out for your crew ️ Updating GIS, herbicide and maintenance records Working alongside a tight, supportive team who's got your back What You Bring Experience in bushland or natural area maintenance A good eye for native plants, wildlife and weeds Fire management or planned burning experience ️ Solid communication skills and a team-first attitude Basic computer skills (GIS experience a plus) Tickets You'll Need (or Get) Cert III in Natural Resource Management (or equivalent experience) Manual C Class licence (MR a bonus) ACDC licence Level 1 Bushland Firefighting Chainsaw Level 1 Senior First Aid White Card Good to Know ️ Outdoor, remote worksites - bring your water and lunch PPE supplied / required Council-funded vaccinations ⏱️ Overtime opportunities depending on fire quals ⭐ You'll Smash This Role If You're A team player who looks out for others Proactive, reliable and keen to learn ❤️ Passionate about the environment and community Think this sounds like your kind of job?
