A federal government division is seeking an experienced APS6 Senior Digital Producer to lead the creation of high‑quality digital content that supports key policy, integrity and regulatory objectives. This newly created position plays a central role in producing video, animation and digital assets that help translate complex information for diverse audiences. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys both creative production and technical delivery, working closely with internal stakeholders to bring concepts to life across a range of channels. This role is offered as a six‑month labour hire contract with potential for extension. It is Canberra‑based and provides flexible working arrangements, including hybrid workplace options. About the Role As the Senior Digital Producer, you will plan, develop and produce engaging video and digital content that supports major national initiatives. Working alongside an EL1 strategic communications lead, you will translate complex policy, compliance and provider‑focused information into clear, accessible outputs. This role operates in a fast‑paced, high‑integrity environment where strong judgement, technical confidence and creative problem‑solving are essential. You’ll be part of a collaborative team known for delivering high‑quality work that supports public trust and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities Produce high‑quality video and/or animated content from concept through to final delivery Plan, storyboard, shoot, edit and grade video content for multiple digital channels Set up and operate cameras, lighting and audio equipment for studio and on‑location shoots Provide advice on best‑practice digital production techniques and content optimisation Manage post‑production workflows including editing, graphics, sound and file management Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project scope and audience needs Ensure digital assets are accurate, accessible and aligned with communications objectives Maintain production spaces, equipment and digital asset libraries Keep across evolving trends in digital production, social media and animation About You You are a skilled digital content producer with demonstrated experience delivering polished, professional video and animation outputs. You combine creative capability with technical expertise and enjoy turning complex material into clear, engaging digital content. You will bring: Demonstrated experience producing end‑to‑end video and/or animated content Strong technical skills across the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) Experience operating professional camera, lighting and audio equipment Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure Excellent attention to detail and understanding of content for social and digital channels Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills A collaborative, solutions‑focused working style Experience working in government, compliance, or regulated environments is beneficial but not essential.
