Role Purpose: As our Night Manager, you are the leader on duty overnight, responsible for the smooth and secure operation of Sydney Harbour Hotel while the city sleeps. You will oversee all night shift activity including guest experience, financial audit processes, team leadership and safety procedures. With a calm presence and sharp attention to detail, you will ensure that every guest interaction, operational decision and reporting requirement is handled with professionalism and care. This role is ideal for an experienced night auditor who thrives in autonomy, enjoys accountability, and brings confidence to overnight operations in a fast-paced hotel environment. Hotel Operations & Leadership Act as the most senior hotel representative on duty overnight Provide leadership, support and direction to overnight Front Office team Ensure smooth handover between evening and morning shifts Manage overnight arrivals, departures and guest movements with efficiency Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, concerns or escalations Maintain a welcoming and reassuring presence across the hotel overnight Oversee completion of the Night Audit process, ensuring daily revenue is balanced and accurately posted Review financial reports, identify discrepancies and implement corrective action where required Ensure all end-of-day procedures are completed in line with brand and compliance standards Maintain hotel security overnight, completing scheduled patrols and checkpoint scanning Respond effectively to emergencies, incidents, or safety concerns Your many talents will include: Proven experience in hotel Front Office operations, ideally in a Night Manager or supervisory capacity Strong understanding of night audit, revenue balancing and daily financial reporting Confidence using Opera PMS (or equivalent hotel systems) A calm, solutions-focused leadership style with excellent judgement Ability to work independently and take ownership of overnight decision-making Strong communication skills and a passion for exceptional guest service Flexibility to work regular overnight shifts across a 7-day rotating roster - full time hours A professional presence that matches the energy of Sydney’s hotel scene Why Us: You will work alongside exceptional people in a supportive, collaborative and agile environment.
