Full Job Description As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service. This role is based in our Soho Coffee Shop 5 minutes from St Leonards Train Station. What being a Team Leader is all about: In charge of the store when the Store Manager is not present. Supervising both front and back of house operations. Lead a team to serve customers in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner, role modelling service superstardom! Involved in merchandising and stock rotation. Banking and Cash handing activities. Training team members in store processes and procedures. Maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with Food by WHSmith hygiene Standards. Reporting and communicating necessary information and feedback to the Cafe Manager regarding any and all aspects of store operations. Assist in the preparation of both food and beverages/coffees. What our Stores would love to see: Experience supervising in a food environment Knowledge in fast paced retail operations with a focus on quality service Warm, friendly, and outgoing personality Ability to lead and motivate a team whilst getting stuck in Flexibility with work hours, particularly earlier mornings Great communication skills Understanding of till reconciliation and cash handling Exceptional time management and multitasking skills The desire to build your career. Prior barista making skills are preferred. Knowledge around food handling and safety (Food Safety Certificate is ideal but not essential) A passion for coffee!
