Our client is a well-established Australian HVAC contractor delivering quality air conditioning solutions across commercial, healthcare, educational, retail and industrial sectors throughout NSW. As their project portfolio continues to grow, they are looking for a motivated Intermediate Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) who is ready to accelerate their career and play a meaningful role in the design of interesting projects This is more than just a support role; it’s an opportunity to gain exposure, take ownership, and grow into a future senior engineer within the business. Working alongside experienced engineers and project delivery teams, you will gain exposure across the full project lifecycle from early-stage design and system selection through to construction support, commissioning, and optimisation. You will be trusted with real responsibility and encouraged to contribute ideas that improve performance, efficiency, and sustainability outcomes. As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will: Assist in the design and coordination of HVAC systems for a wide range of projects Support the preparation of design documentation, specifications, and engineering calculations for HVAC systems in accordance with Australian Standards Work collaboratively with estimators, project managers and site supervisors to ensure smooth project delivery Contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient design solutions Participate in site inspections, commissioning activities, and technical problem-solving Continue developing your technical knowledge under the guidance of senior engineers We are interested in candidates with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2-5 years’ experience in a consulting or contracting environment. Previous design experience across commercial, healthcare, education or retail projects would be of interest.
