Your new role: As a Peer Recovery Support Worker, you will use your lived/living experience of mental health and/or substance use recovery to provide practical, person-centred peer support to consumers residing in Community Care Units. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will promote hope, recovery and self-determination while supporting consumers to build skills, resilience and meaningful community connections. Key responsibilities include: Providing personalised peer support using lived experience of recovery Supporting consumers to identify and work towards meaningful recovery goals Assisting consumers to engage with community, services and support networks Modelling recovery-oriented practice, self-advocacy and hope Supporting education, group activities and recovery-focused programs About you: You are someone with lived/living experience of mental health and/or substance use recovery who is ready to use that experience to support others in a purposeful, professional and recovery-focused way. You value empathy, boundaries, collaboration and inclusion, and you bring a strong commitment to peer work values.
