We are seeking experienced and passionate Senior Practitioners to join a leading specialist Family Violence service in Melbourne’s north and north-west. These roles focus on providing high-quality interventions to adults using family violence, with a strong emphasis on risk assessment, client safety, and staff supervision. About the Role As a Senior Practitioner, you will: Deliver specialist family violence interventions to adults using violence and, where needed, to victim-survivors and their children. Support and supervise Family Violence Practitioners, providing clinical guidance and mentoring. Work closely with the team leader and broader leadership team to enhance service delivery and workforce capability. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and contribute to safety planning, ensuring victim safety is central. Collaborate with internal and external service providers to support client engagement and achieve positive outcomes. Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Services, or a related field. Substantial experience in the Family Violence sector, preferably working with adults who use violence. Strong skills in risk identification, assessment, and management. Experience providing supervision and training to staff. Knowledge of family violence frameworks (MARAM, Safe & Together, BICPM) and trauma-informed, intersectional approaches. Experience working with clients with complex needs, including mental health, disability, substance use, or housing vulnerabilities. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
