About the Role Our client is a well-established and respected Australian organisation operating within the mechanical services industry. They are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join their supportive and values-driven team. This role will suit someone with strong payroll administration experience who thrives in a structured, compliance-focused environment. The position supports the end-to-end payroll function and works closely with Finance, People & Culture, and operational teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Position Description Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Assisting with weekly and monthly payroll processing Accurate entry of timesheets, allowances, deductions and leave Supporting payroll reconciliations and pre-payroll checks Applying award classifications and EBA conditions Maintaining employee payroll records and documentation Coordinating and reviewing timesheets across multiple departments Assisting with superannuation processing and statutory deductions Supporting STP reporting and end-of-financial-year processes Responding to payroll-related queries from employees and managers Maintaining strict confidentiality of payroll data Assisting with system updates, testing and continuous improvement initiatives Skills & Experience Previous experience in payroll administration or similar role Understanding of awards, EBAs, Fair Work Act and Superannuation requirements Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Experience with payroll systems and intermediate Excel skills Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work to strict payroll deadlines High level of professionalism and confidentiality What’s on Offer Supportive and collaborative team environment Values-driven culture focused on safety and people Opportunity to contribute to process improvements Stable organisation with strong industry reputation Immediate start available How To Apply To apply online, please click on the appropriate link below.
